Te Tūranga - The Role
We have an exciting opportunity at Tait Communications for an experienced ICT Project Manager to join our team. In this role, you will apply your strong project management skills in areas such as project design and planning, report and proposal writing, budget management, risk assessment, and conflict resolution. We're looking for someone with a proven track record of managing multiple projects and priorities while effectively leading cross-functional teams. Your ability to engage with stakeholders and communicate confidently at all levels will be key to your success.
The duties of the role will include:
* Deliver projects on time, within budget, and to agreed quality standards.
* Write business cases that align with good practice.
* Ability to evaluate, streamline and make recommendations on business processes.
* Build and manage project budgets and resource plans.
* Present oral and written reports defining plans, issues, risks, status, and resolutions to appropriate levels of management.
* Develop a fit-for-purpose project management methodology and ensure projects are delivered in line with it.
* Manage project risks and dependencies and implement mitigation plans where necessary.
* Develop and implement change control processes to ensure changes are managed effectively.
* Ensure project documentation is complete and up to date, and that lessons learned are captured and applied to future projects.
* Develop and implement a value management framework for the ICT projects.
* Identify and manage project interdependence, ensuring delivery is integrated across the business.
Reporting to the ICT Programme Manager, this project manager's role will be responsible for delivering real improvements in business systems, services, and platforms to Tait staff, stakeholders, and customers.
Ō pūkenga - About You
To be successful in this role, you will have an IT tertiary qualification and/or relevant experience in a related field.
As well as:
* 3 to 10 years of experience in IT project or programme management, with a proven track record of delivering complex IT projects.
* Strong understanding of project management methodologies, including Agile and Waterfall.
* Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
* Exceptional organisational and planning skills with a focus on achieving results.
* PRINCE2 and Agile certifications are highly desirable.
* Strong leadership and interpersonal skills, with the ability to influence and negotiate at a senior level.
