Associate/Senior Mechanical Design Engineer - Building Services Design/MEP

This role is to join a highly successful firm of consulting engineers, specialising in mechanical, electrical and public health (MEP) engineering. As part of the continued growth, they are now looking to recruit a senior mechanical design engineer or an engineer at associate level.
This consultancy works on some really high-profile projects with leading architects, designers, and contractors and has an excellent reputation for delivering quality and reliable services.

Responsibilities
1. Working as part of a design team delivering detailed design.
2. Liaising closely with other professionals, including structural engineers, architects, surveyors, and contractors of in-house and external project teams.
3. Preparing technical specifications and schedules and design development reports.
4. Developing and producing reports, specifications, guidance notes, and general correspondence ensuring quality and technical quality standards are met.
5. Reviewing and commenting on information provided by the client, contractors, and other members of the professional team.
6. Attending design team meetings, client meetings, pre-contract and post-contract meetings.
7. Carrying out site surveys for projects, to obtain all relevant information required for carrying out scheme design.
8. Attending site progress meetings as and when required, together with monitoring Contractor's performance.
Experience Required
1. Degree qualified and having completed several projects from inception to completion as a mechanical design engineer.
2. Preferably a graduate with a minimum of 5-6 years relevant experience in building services design.
3. Possess good technical knowledge in your primary discipline of mechanical services design and have a good understanding of the secondary discipline.
