About the Role We’re looking for an experienced Finance and Business Support Assistant to join our finance team. Reporting to the Finance and Business Support Manager, you will help support the business in maintaining accurate financial records, processing transactions, and assisting with the necessary information required to enable the timely preparation of management accounts and financial reports. This role ensures the day-to-day financial operations run smoothly and the wider business is supported with its day-to-day administrative needs. Key Responsibilities Sales ledger – preparing and processing invoices, cash receipt allocation, credit control Purchase ledger – raising PO’s, processing supplier invoices and payments Bank – posting and matching of entries via linked bank feed into Xero, including debit card transactions and ad hoc payments, and timely statement reconciliations Assist with updating information needed for the cashflow forecast with S/L and P/L entries and cash movements Weekly supplier payment runs, and staff expenses reconciliation and payments Assist in tracking and maintaining records of the company's fixed assets Effective communication with customers and suppliers Provide administrative assistance for the business and Senior Management Team, including but not limited to, arranging meetings, hotel & travel bookings and sundry purchases Assist with planning and organising quarterly company events Administration of our 2 offices and ad hoc day to day tasks to support of the overall operation of the business Required Skills / Experience Proficiency in Xero and a working knowledge of Excel Finance assistant experience and possibly studying for Level 1 or 2 AAT Excellent attention to detail, with strong organisational skills Great communication, both written and verbal A proactive approach to problem-solving with the ability to work independently as well as part of a team What We Offer Competitive Salary Flexible and remote working options Enhanced pension scheme (5% employer contribution) 25 days of holiday plus bank holidays £1,200 annual work-from-home allowance Private healthcare package (Vitality) Eligibility Requirements Applicants must have the legal right to work in the UK.
