ShortList Recruitment have an exciting opportunity for a IT Service Manager to join a well established client in Cannock who are growing their IT function. The client are private equity backed and are investing significantly into the IT function to ensure that it better supports the overall business goals.
As the IT Service Manager you'll be responsible for delivery of the small in-house team as well as all outsourced partners. You will emphasise the adoption of effective IT Service Management (ITSM) frameworks and spearhead continuous improvement to improve service delivery for users.
Responsibilities
- IT Service Management (ITSM): Manage ITSM processes, including service desk and incident handling.
- Continuous Improvement: Develop a roadmap for IT service enhancements using modern practices.
- Technology Infrastructure: Collaborate with partners on infrastructure management, asset tracking, and network setup.
- Cybersecurity: Strengthen cybersecurity measures and ensure compliance with standards like Cyber Essentials Plus.
- Business Continuity: Support disaster recovery planning and testing.
Key Skills
- Experience with IT management frameworks like Scrum and Agile.
- Knowledge of best practice ITSM processes (e.g., ITIL).
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Problem-solving and analytical skills focused on improvement.
- Experience with Microsoft tools (Azure AD, Office 365).
- Knowledge of IT infrastructure, including network and hardware management.
- Proven ability in IT security initiatives and compliance.
- Experience in disaster recovery and business continuity planning.
Qualifications and Experience
- 5+ years in IT service desk or related roles, with 2+ years in management.
- Certification in IT management frameworks (e.g., Agile, ITIL).
- Experience in infrastructure and security management in medium-sized businesses.
- Familiarity with construction industry technology is a plus.
The salary of the IT Service Manager is up to £55,000, plus some great benefits! The role is hybrid and is based in Cannock and is commutable from Birmingham, Wolverhampton, Tamworth, Telford, Stafford and Stoke-on-Trent.
