Your role with us To deliver an effective purchasing and supply service for St Andrew's Healthcare under the direction of the Purchasing Team Leader. Key Responsibilities: To ensure purchasing activity is undertaken in line with the Charity's financial and procurement policies and procedures at all St Andrew's Healthcare locations.
To provide a high quality, pro-active purchasing customer service to all St Andrew's internal customers.
To ensure all purchasing records are kept up-to-date, accessible and are retained in line with St Andrews retention of records requirements for audit purposes.
To liaise with the Payables Team to ensure swift resolution of invoice queries, and to expedite other purchase order/finance system-related issues in a timely manner.
To use Procurement purchasing cards for specific supply chain transactions in line with procurement policy, reconciling accounts at each month end.
To assist Purchasing Officers in obtaining quotations from suppliers when required, ensuring St Andrews terms & conditions of contract apply to subsequent contracts/purchase orders.
To maintain Excel, other information databases and running reports as required.
To be responsible for managing & triaging the Purchasing Team Inbox.
To work to resolve issues related to order discrepancies or delays.
Communicate with suppliers to ensure timely delivery of products.
Monitor and action New Supplier Set Up requests.
A bit about you
You will have good communication and interpersonal skills, being able to quickly build rapport with people.
You will have a basic understanding of suppliers and supply chains.
You will be computer literate, with basic understanding of Microsoft Office software, including Excel).
You will have experience of working in a busy office environment.
