Residential Support Worker – Children with Learning Disability and Mental Health needs
Location: Bolton, Farnworth
Salary: £12-£12.25ph depending on experience
Hours: Full-time, with flexible shifts to work days or nights or a mixture of both. 44 hours a week – shifts

About the House
It’s a large, detached home offering a safe, supportive environment for children and young people who have experienced trauma, mental health challenges, and/or learning disabilities. With extensive outdoor space, it has opportunities for relaxation and recreation, including outdoor sports and activities in the garden, especially during the summer months.
Your Role
As a Residential Support Worker, you will:
1. Provide consistent, high-quality care to children and young people.
2. Build trusting relationships to support emotional, social, and educational development.
3. Support the young people in daily activities, including outdoor sports, gardening, and recreational pursuits.
4. Promote a safe and inclusive environment tailored to the unique needs of each individual.
5. Work collaboratively with the team to ensure the children and young people feel valued and understood.
6. Support with caring and nurturing, including meal preparation and getting ready for school.
About You
We are looking for someone who is:
1. Compassionate, patient, and dedicated to improving the lives of young people.
2. Experienced in supporting children with trauma, mental health issues, or learning disabilities (desirable but not essential).
3. A strong team player with excellent communication skills.
4. Able to work flexibly, including evenings, weekends, and sleep-in shifts.
