IT Services at the University of Manchester is a vibrant and fast-moving department, focused on delivering excellent customer service and quality services for our staff, students, and researchers.
The Role
The role is to coordinate an end-to-end Service Assurance (Service Design and Transition) process. You will work closely with Project and Operational Teams to ensure that new and changed IT Services have a complete Service Design Package that meets the agreed Service Transition and Operational Readiness measures, which includes the creation of artefacts such as runbooks, configuration of ITIL service support processes, support and RACI models, Disaster Recovery plans, and the completion of knowledge transfer.
The Person
The successful candidate should be able to demonstrate:
* Proven experience of coordinating/managing Service Design and Service Transition activities for new and changed services
* Experience of collaborating with multiple stakeholders to successfully onboard all new and changed solutions delivered into the production environment
* A demonstrable understanding of Availability Management, Capacity Management, and Information and Governance
* Understanding of ITIL
* Experience of project delivery and working within a governance framework
* Experience of security system implementations preferred
