Bookkeeper / Assistant Accountant Contract – Temp to Perm to start ASAP Location - Shirley, Solihull (B90) Hours - 28hrs per week – Mon – Fri (9.30am – 3.15pm – Neg) Salary: £18.54ph - £19.91ph D.O.E. (£27,000pa - £29,000pa) Our client is a well-established distributor with branches nationwide. Looking for a bookkeeper / assistant accountant to support the company accountant. A great opportunity to join an fantastic team Essentials: Minimum 5 years’ experience working in a busy accounts office. Good working knowledge of Microsoft Excel essential (Word an advantage). Knowledge of SAP an advantage. Accuracy essential. Able to work as a member of a small team and on own initiative. Ability to prioritise workloads Duties: Coordinate day to day accounting activities with FD. Preparation of monthly management accounts to meet deadlines incl. accruals prepayments, stock and Interco reconciliations, monthly/quarterly journals, results review vs budget. Monthly control account reconciliations (incl. payroll SOX) Payment run review Travel booking and expenses review and related admin Office of national statistics surveys Local Stock business timesheets and monthly stats updates. Preparation of Budgets Preparation of draft TB and Financial Statements (part) Information/Analysis requirements of Statutory Audit Assist with the Corporation tax return / POAs Preparation of P11Ds and supporting schedules Assist with Transfer Pricing (data confirmation / queries) Provide cover for Accounts Administrator (sales & purchase ledger).
