This role is to be part of the OMFS team in LUHFT, with a focus on Oncology. The specialist will have some autonomy within the Regional Unit.
They will participate in the on-call provision and have some general OMFS clinic activity to maintain their general skills.
One of the core features of this role will be flexibility within the oncology team, to ensure that maximum activity is maintained across clinic and theatre opportunities. This will require flexibility from the appointee.
The post holder will be expected to undertake OPD sessions of OMFS Head and Neck Oncology clinics as well as Head and Neck Surgical Oncology operating lists at Aintree Hospital.
The job plan will be subject to change with the agreement of the post holder and the Clinical Director.
The post holder will supervise, support and collaborate with other practitioners as agreed to be appropriate with the Clinical Director. The Speciality Doctor will have a role in the training and supervising DCTs and STs in OPD and LA Minor oral surgery.
