Salary: £27,000 - £33,000 depending on relevant skills, knowledge and experience.

Who are we looking for?
We are currently looking for a talented and enthusiastic Audio Social Journalist to join our dynamic team based in York, bringing North Yorkshire's stories alive across all of our platforms. If you possess a passion for crafting high-quality social media content, then we would love to hear from you.
Main Responsibilities
* Day-to-day running of our social media accounts.
* Reversion content to make the most of our Audio to reach online audiences.
* Drive engagement and growth of referrals from social accounts to BBC products and services, including BBC Sounds.
* Promote radio station activities and create content for social media and broadcast output.
* Champion new social media formats and assist colleagues in developing their digital skills.
* Use social listening tools to identify local audience issues and create engaging content.
* Transform daily radio and TV content into engaging social formats and create original digital content.
* Contribute ideas for improving our processes.
Are you the right candidate?
* Experience in creating high-impact content across multiple platforms.
* Enthusiasm for storytelling and understanding of how the BBC serves local audiences digitally.
* Ability to identify stories that resonate with digital audiences.
* Account management experience or experience in building social media brands.
* Understanding of editorial problems and legal concerns.
* Film-making skills and proficiency in editing software like Final Cut Pro.
* Knowledge of social listening tools and publishing platforms like Social Flow is desirable.
* A passion for great storytelling, regardless of journalism background.
