We are searching for a Warehouse Supervisor at our HADDENHAM (GB01) facility.
Main mission of the role
1. Manage Stores
2. Prioritise, organise, and assist with the picking/packing of connectors and accessories to ensure all orders are picked and correctly labelled.
3. Prioritise, organise, and assist where necessary with the cutting and winding of cables, cable assemblies, and cable testing processes to ensure all orders are ready for packing on time and correctly labelled.
4. Organise a schedule for manufacturing jumper cables to fulfill orders.
5. Ensure all orders are packed correctly as per packaging specifications.
6. Receive and verify pick lists from CST, update the list accordingly, and process completed pick lists through Cable Solution in SAP, adding them to the delivery note.
7. Organise transportation of orders with carriers, ensuring all necessary paperwork (delivery notes, export documents) is prepared.
8. Complete the Post Goods Issue process daily on SAP and monitor delivery status for any issues.
9. Cover for staff absences in other warehouse processes such as Cable Winding and Cable Assembly when required.
Stock Management
1. Manage and update stock across storage locations on SAP, including stock movements.
2. Maintain housekeeping of short cable lengths in SAP.
3. Organise and report stock counts for annual stock takes or as needed.
Goods Received & Returns
1. Check goods received against delivery/return notes and report discrepancies to purchasing.
2. Book goods received/returned in SAP and record storage locations within the agreed timeframe.
3. Arrange collections from suppliers or customers as necessary.
Packaging and Support
1. Review suppliers regularly to ensure competitive pricing.
2. Support other departments by handling customer complaints, follow-up actions, and obtaining PODs.
3. Provide estimated weights and dimensions for packing as requested.
Health and Safety
1. Ensure staff and visitors wear appropriate protective gear.
2. Train warehouse staff on equipment use and ensure compliance with safety guidelines.
3. Arrange maintenance and inspections of warehouse equipment, including forklifts.
Purchasing and Personnel
1. Order warehouse consumables and packaging; approve invoices timely.
2. Manage personnel issues, conduct initial performance evaluations, and report on staff performance.
General Responsibilities
1. Maintain a clean and tidy warehouse.
2. Perform any other duties as required, adhering to company processes.
Skills Required:
* Experience with warehouse operations, stock management, and ERP software (SAP preferred).
* Steadfast, careful work ethic, responsible, with independent operating ability.
* Forklift driver certification preferred.
* Previous warehouse supervisory experience required.
