We are currently recruiting an experienced Inspector for our Kirkbymooreside facility in North Yorkshire. Purpose of the position The Inspector will ensure that the customer receives a high-quality product in line with process and product specification. The Inspector will provide visual & dimensional inspection support at all stages of the manufacturing process, including goods in, and final inspection ready for dispatch. The Inspector may also perform various product tests (in line with health and safety requirements) to confirm the integrity of the product and provide expert advice and guidance in respect of quality documentation, procedures and processes. Responsibilities: Safety - to use and maintain tools and equipment safely and in line with instructions Quality - to conduct inspection and test activities to the required specification and to complete accurately and timely all associated documentation. Cost - to minimise impact to the business of incorrect product or material by early identification of any fault. Delivery - to work in accordance to deadlines and inspection operation times and change priorities to suit business needs. People - to work in accordance with company values and support and develop colleagues when needed Continuous Improvement - to maintain and further develop skillset and knowledge; to suggest and investigate opportunities for improvement and be adaptable to change.Tasks: Visual and dimensional inspection using a variety of manual and digital inspection equipment To assist with development of any new inspection or measurement methodology and processes. To create CMM / Laser scan inspection sessions. To complete job cards and other required documentation accurately and timely and in line with process. To support the QA dept with the control of Non-Conforming Product by early identification and reporting. To communicate effectively with other departments to share any issues and contribute to the smooth running of production. To maintain a clean and tidy work area. To mentor and train colleagues in the attainment of skills via on the job training or off site if necessary. To support and liaise with other departments to resolve any quality control issues and suggest improvements where possible. To contribute to Continuous Improvement activities and undertaken at Advanced Composites. To support management team and any regulatory bodies in obtaining any identified accreditation and maintaining compliance.
