They have an extensive track record, having installed hundreds of PV systems with a combined output of 4 gigawatts worldwide. As a major player in the O&M sector, they also oversee the operation and maintenance of a significant capacity of PV plants. Their mission is to drive the European energy transition forward and ensure a sustainable energy supply for future generations. Due to organic growth, our client is looking to add a Senior PV Engineer to their team who can take charge of routine maintenance and remedial work on solar PV systems, working independently or as part of a dynamic team. Key Responsibilities Perform routine maintenance, testing, and remedial work on deployed solar PV systems. Comply with company procedures and policies. Conduct Preventative Maintenance according to the PPM annual plan. Perform Corrective Maintenance as needed. Report activities performed on-site daily through the online reporting system. Conduct job-specific risk assessments, analyses, and operational limitations, and report all near misses to the manager. Supervise and coordinate third-party contractors working on-site. Ensure third-party contractors comply with H&S regulations. Maintain accurate and detailed records of electrical testing suitable for audit. Troubleshoot and fault find on both AC and DC systems. Alert the manager of any issues promptly. Comply with all required fire, health, and safety requirements for the working environment, including current applicable policies and risk assessments, and attend any required training. Perform any other reasonable tasks as requested by a manager within the company. Be prepared for occasional overnight stays if required. Participate in the weekend rota when trained on remote monitoring systems (additional pay). Skills Required Level 3 City & Guilds/NVQ in Electrical Installations C&G certification C&G or equivalent qualification HV AP qualification First Aid Trained Fire Marshal certification H/S IOSH qualification (desirable, training provided if needed) Central Inverter manufacturer training Knowledge of maintenance procedures and schedules Understanding of AC and DC electrical systems Knowledge of CCTV and SCADA systems Familiarity with High Voltage systems, including 33kV switching operations and maintenance Proficient with industry instruments and testing equipment 3 years of experience in Solar PV O&M (ground mount and rooftop) For electricians: NVQ Level 3 and Test & Inspect (C&G 2391) ADZN1_UKTJ
