What you’ll do:
As a machine operative, you will be responsible for the setting and operating of mechanical and computer-operated equipment within a busy, fast-paced environment working a rotational two-shift pattern, reporting to the departmental supervisor. You will be required to use a variety of tools whilst following safety guidelines and regulations.
1. Setting of authorised equipment
2. Control and adjust authorised equipment to ensure product complies with business quality requirements
3. Ensure the smooth and efficient running of authorised equipment, troubleshooting production issues, stoppages, and errors.
4. Perform routine maintenance where authorised
5. Work as part of a team to meet company production targets and deadlines
6. Follow standard operating procedures and health & safety requirements
7. Demonstrate an awareness of production order requirement parameters to achieve delivery times and customer requirements
8. Demonstrate initiative and flexibility
9. Ability to react quickly when problems arise
10. Monitor and record equipment output
11. Support continuous improvement of manufacturing processes to achieve efficiency and quality priorities
12. Show competency towards general fault-finding
13. Undertake training necessary for development as agreed with Team Leader / Supervisor
14. Undertake any other reasonable duties as directed
Qualifications:
Secondary (GCSE)
Operational / machine environment
Skills:
Machine experienced, computer literate, MRP experienced, various measuring equipment.
Able to work independently or as a team. Good communication skills.
