Main duties of the job
The post holder will work with the Operations Managers and General Manager to provide business and managerial support in order that the activity, quality and financial objectives of the services are successfully delivered.
The post holder will be expected to support with daily operational management and will work closely with the Operations Manager to deliver performance, quality and financial objectives. This includes management of key performance indicators including national 18-week RTT and cancer performance, clinic outcomes, letter performance and clinic utilization.
To be responsible for the line management of defined clerical and reception staff and team leaders within these teams.
The role requires an individual that is resilient, can flex to meet changing priorities, organized with excellent attention to detail and dedicated to providing quality patient care. The successful postholder will be a key member of the operational management team and will be expected to work with a range of stakeholders to drive service improvements. There is also the opportunity to work on specific projects within the department, with the support of the Operations Manager, in line with service development.

Essential
* Experience of further academic/personal development
* Understanding of range of work practices, majority non-routine with intermediate level of theoretical knowledge.
Desirable
* Degree or equivalent professional Management qualification plus acquire training to post graduate level. Or equivalent experience in a relevant role
* Further management training and/or relevant managerial experience
