Job summary A unique opportunity has arisen for a Consultant Psychiatrist to support Evolve - Hull Community Eating Disorder Service. The post holder will be required to cover the current Consultant Psychiatrist as required. Main duties of the job The role involves being responsive to and working closely with the multi-disciplinary team (MDT) advising on, and participating in, the psychiatric assessment of patients to establish eating disorders and other psychiatric psychopathology. The role will involve offering the MDT an expert opinion relating to the appropriateness of community or compulsory treatment for patients considered to be at higher risk. For example, a patient may present with red flags on the Medical Emergencies in Eating Disorders (MEED) risk assessment and may not be agreeable to a medical admission.
