Responsible for the overall strategy for Application Delivery and Desktop Provisioning across all the virtual environments within the bank, the Virtual Workspace team within TOCS operate, monitor, maintain, protect, and evolve the Banks Corporate Virtual Workspace environment which is central to providing customer and colleague-facing services to internal and 3rd Party colleagues. What you’ll be doing: Management, configuration, administration, and maintenance of Citrix and Azure Virtual Desktop Infrastructure. Provide Virtual environment support to colleagues and customers Plan & execute technical & procedural improvements to the Virtual Stack & where relevant associated applications. Lead on any major incidents from a virtual perspective making any decisions or guidance to regain service. Lead on all Virtual lead project delivery acting as technical SME and technical delivery owner. Lead on the design and implementation of new Microsoft technologies such as Azure Virtual Desktop and Windows 365 Cloud PC. Coach, mentor and develop less experienced colleagues and peers – helping the individuals and the overall team develop as a result. Build effective relationships with supporting departments, our 3rd parties and colleagues. We need you to have: Excellent knowledge in Citrix XenDesktop, NetScaler’s and the full Citrix Stack Excellent knowledge of administering blade infrastructure in VMWare. Excellent knowledge of AVD and/or Windows 365 Cloud PC from a design, configuration and management perspective. Knowledge of corporate business continuity and disaster recovery processes. Knowledge and experience of using Citrix DaaS/Cloud for managing workloads and access. Ability to travel to multiple sites across the UK to provide support when needed. Enthusiastic, self-motivated and determined to deliver an excellent service. It’s a bonus if you have but not essential: Experience of application containerisation processes.
