Our House Community is looking for dedicated and compassionate individuals who believe in what they do to join their Board of Trustees and help them continue to provide compassionate spaces where people can connect, get involved and find a sense of belonging.

Our House Community is a vibrant charity based in Walton, Liverpool, dedicated to fostering connections and providing supportive environments especially for those who are isolated or vulnerable. Their main hub is a friendly and lively community centre in the heart of Walton where people can engage in activities ranging from yoga and fitness, arts and crafts to mental health courses and special interest classes.
They also run outreach projects and offer support to some of the most vulnerable women in our city who are involved in the sex industry and substance use with their Streetwise van, which provides night-time harm reduction mobile outreach and their Pearls Project which offers women groups and one to one practical, emotional and wellbeing support.
The Opportunity
They are seeking new Trustees to join their board, with a particular focus on recruiting people with experience in these areas:
* Treasurer: A financial expert to oversee their financial management, budgeting, and sustainability
* Safeguarding: An individual with experience in safeguarding to ensure the safety and well-being of our community members
* HR experienced: Someone with experience in human resources
* IT/Digital Specialist: A professional with IT expertise to help them enhance their IT and digital infrastructure to support their growing needs.

Time Commitment
They ask for a minimum two-year commitment including quarterly board meetings, focussed committee work, and participation in trustee training and annual team and strategy days.
Trustee roles are voluntary, but reasonable out-of-pocket expenses will be reimbursed.
