We are also recruiting experienced tutors to provide 1:1 support to individual learners. The weekly sessions will run after school and on Saturday mornings, mainly during term time but continuing over the half term holidays. Our classes are primarily delivered 'in person' at our tuition centre in central Maidstone.
We welcome applicants of all ages, and this role will suit current or retired teachers as additional income. A QTS qualification - or significant classroom teaching experience - is essential for this role.

* A qualified and experienced teacher, with QTS, or with significant classroom teaching experience?
* Able to plan and deliver small group and 1:1 lessons independently, in a fun and engaging manner and to a high standard?
* Confident in teaching maths, English or science with knowledge of the national curriculum and GCSE syllabus where relevant (we support AQA and Edexcel boards for GCSE)?
* Able to prepare work to suit students of different levels of ability, including students with additional needs?
* Organised, reliable, hard-working and dedicated?
* Available to start work in January 2024 or earlier?
If the answer is ‘yes’ to all of the above, we would welcome your application with a current CV.
Key responsibilities of this role may include some or all of the above:
* To lead the delivery of one or more of our maths, English or science small group tuition programmes.
* To help set up and clear away the space before and after class.
* To accurately mark and record students’ work and complete reporting methods.
* To ensure students work effectively.
* To support, supervise students and maintain discipline.
* To liaise with/keep good working relationships with parents.
* To attend training and meetings as required (please note that training may take place outside of class hours).
* To understand and comply with all policies and procedures, including safeguarding requirements to ensure the safety of all pupils within the centre.
We are an equal opportunities employer and welcome applications from all suitably qualified persons regardless of their race, sex, disability, religion/belief, sexual orientation or age.
Interviews will be arranged to take place in November/December 2024. A trial session will also be arranged.
