IT Project Manager

This position is critical in bridging the gap between business stakeholders and IT teams to deliver innovative solutions within Asta.
The successful candidate will be responsible for managing projects from initiation to completion while also capturing and analysing business requirements to ensure alignment with organisational goals.
Key Responsibilities
1. Plan, execute, and monitor IT projects, ensuring delivery on time, within scope, and budget. Conduct detailed analysis of business processes, systems, and user needs to define project requirements.
2. Develop detailed project plans, timelines, and risk assessments. Document functional and non-functional requirements in collaboration with business users.
3. Coordinate cross-functional teams, including IT developers, QA analysts, and business stakeholders. Create process flows, user stories, and business cases to support project goals.
4. Act as the primary point of contact for project updates, delivering progress reports to senior stakeholders. Perform gap analysis and recommend IT solutions that align with business objectives.
5. Identify and mitigate project risks and dependencies. Facilitate workshops, stakeholder interviews, and requirement-gathering sessions.
6. Ensure compliance with Lloyd's-specific and PRA, FCA regulatory and operational standards. Collaborate with QA teams to ensure user acceptance testing aligns with defined requirements.
7. Act as a liaison between business users, IT teams, and external vendors. Manage relationships with Asta clients.
Key Personal Skills Required
1. Project Management Experience: Demonstrable track record of delivering IT projects using Agile Scrum and Kanban.
2. Business Analysis Expertise: Experience eliciting and documenting requirements, analysing complex systems, and translating business needs into IT deliverables.
3. Lloyd's Insurance Market Knowledge: Familiarity with Lloyd's processes, regulatory requirements, and industry-specific terminology.
4. Technical Skills: Understanding of IT systems, data flows, and software development life cycles (SDLC).
5. Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to interact effectively with all stakeholders.
6. Problem-Solving: Strong analytical and critical-thinking skills to resolve challenges and align technical solutions with business goals.
Key Technical Skills/Knowledge/Professional Qualifications Required:
1. Experience with tools such as Jira and MS Project.
2. Certifications such as PRINCE2, PMP, CBAP, or Agile Scrum Master.
3. Knowledge of Lloyd's insurance systems and platforms.
4. Knowledge of underwriting, claims processing, and other Lloyd's insurance operations to effectively onboard and support Lloyd's syndicates to Asta. This will naturally include detailed understanding of Lloyd's insurance processes.
5. A good understanding of the Lloyd's Market and Market projects (Blueprint 2 etc.)
