The Role
As a Service Engineer – Electrical, you will carry out scheduled and unscheduled maintenance work on installations.
Reporting to the Technical Support Supervisor, you will effectively diagnose and implement all reactive maintenance work on both the client’s installations and other users' installations, and you will carry out initial fault finding, both locally and remotely.
Additionally, you will:
1. Maintain the Service Operation with the clear goal of maximum efficiency and effectiveness
2. Maximise availability and uptime by effecting a first-time fix wherever possible
3. Ensure customers are satisfied with the product and service provided
4. Ensure all electrical work is carried out in compliance with the latest electrical standards (IEEE standards)

About You
To join our client as a Service Engineer (Electrical), you will need:
1. A minimum qualification to ONC/D or City & Guilds in electrical engineering or equivalent.
2. To be a competent time-served technician in an electrical discipline, preferably with a minimum of 3 years’ experience.
3. To be a competent electrician with knowledge of PLC systems used in gas/diesel generator control systems
4. Excellent fault-finding skills for electrical control panels to component level.
5. The ability to read and interpret electrical design drawings.
6. Strong IT skills including proficiency in MS Office packages.
7. A full, valid driving licence.
A recognised H&S qualification and an in-date CSCS card would also be advantageous to your application, as would a Gas Safe qualification.
In this role, you will be working Monday – Thursday 8.30am to 5.00pm and Friday 8.30am - 4.00 pm. This role will involve weekend work and possible out-of-hours work. You will be required to participate in the on-call rota.
