Proposals Engineer
An exciting opportunity has arisen for an enthusiastic individual to join a technical sales team within a global company specialising in engineered process heating and control systems. This role is ideal for someone looking to develop a career in a technical sales environment, gaining valuable experience in tender preparation, interpreting client specifications, and working closely with project management teams to ensure the successful delivery of orders.
Key Responsibilities:
* Interpret client enquiry documents and prepare conceptual designs, drafting formal technical and commercial tenders.
* Assist with technical clarifications requested by clients throughout the tendering process.
* Obtain sub-vendor quotations for bought-out components.
* Formulate accurate cost estimates based on international standards and project specifications.
* Prepare and review contract handover files for the design team, ensuring technical and commercial accuracy.
* Maintain database systems with relevant communications and feedback.
* Manage contract reviews for received sales orders.
Skills & Experience:
* A multidisciplinary engineering approach covering electrical, mechanical, instrumentation, and process calculations.
* Ability to adapt across disciplines to effectively formulate tenders and address client queries.
* Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.
* A customer-focused approach with excellent communication skills.
* An interest in mathematics or science, with a willingness to learn and develop within the role.
* Training will be provided to develop the necessary skills for designing heating and control systems.

Work Schedule: Monday to Friday
