This role is an exciting and varied role within Education, SEND and Family Solutions, and provides the senior and strategic leadership to a range of services providing support to schools and settings and raising aspiration and attainment in respect of children and young people’s educational outcomes and employment prospects.
A challenging yet truly rewarding role, we are seeking someone with an understanding of the education system locally, a vision for obtaining the best educational outcomes for all of the borough’s children, and someone who can develop the credibility and respect of our staff, key partners and stakeholders.
As a strategic leader you will be part of the Education, SEND and Family Solutions Senior Team in Dudley Children’s Services Directorate and will champion the best possible opportunities for the education of children and young people.
As a restorative council we work collaboratively with each other and our partners to positively engage with our children and young people to collectively ensure that they are able to make accelerated progress and achieve their potential.
Our Head of Education leads and supports a number of key services including:
• Admissions
• Connexions
• Education Psychology
• School Improvement & Inclusion
• Attendance & Education Support
As the Head of Education you will build on the successes of the team and be supported by the Service Director for Education, SEND and Family Solutions in developing our services and in partnership with schools and settings to deliver the best possible outcomes for our children
