Mechanical Supervisor \n\nLocation: Central London\n Salary: Up to £60,000 per annum + benefits\n Hours: Monday - Friday: 8am - 5pm + overtime + on call \n\nAbout the Role\n\nWe are currently seeking a skilled and experienced Mechanical Supervisor to join our Facilities Maintenance team. This is a fantastic opportunity to play a key role in the delivery of planned and reactive mechanical maintenance across a diverse portfolio of commercial and public sector buildings.\n\nAs the Mechanical Supervisor, you will oversee a team of engineers and subcontractors, ensuring that all works are completed safely, to a high standard, and in line with industry regulations and client expectations.\n\nKey Responsibilities\n\nSupervise and support mechanical engineers in the delivery of maintenance, repairs, and minor installations.\n\nCarry out hands-on mechanical work when required, particularly during critical or complex tasks.\n\nConduct site audits and inspections, ensuring compliance with H&S regulations and company standards.\n\nAssist in the planning and scheduling of works, ensuring timely completion and minimal disruption.\n\nLiaise with clients, site managers, and other stakeholders to ensure clear communication and expectations.\n\nMaintain accurate records, including job sheets, risk assessments, and asset registers.\n\nProvide technical support and training to team members when needed.\n\nParticipate in call-out rota and emergency response as required.\n\nRequirements\n\nNVQ Level 3 or equivalent in Mechanical Engineering or Building Services or equivalent\n\nProven experience in a similar supervisory role within facilities maintenance.\n\nStrong understanding of mechanical systems including HVAC, plumbing, and heating systems.\n\nExcellent knowledge of health and safety regulations and industry standards.\n\nFull UK driving licence.\n\nStrong leadership, organisational, and communication skills.\n\nAbility to use CAFM systems and Microsoft Office packages.\n\nDesirable\n\nIOSH or SMSTS qualification.\n\nExperience working in healthcare, education, or public sector environments.\n\nKnowledge of permit-to-work systems and risk assessment procedures.\n\nRandstad CPE values diversity and promotes equality.
