A secondment position has arisen for an enthusiastic, well-motivated individual to join our endoscopy team at Maidstone Hospital. This is an exciting opportunity to join a fast-paced dynamic working environment with the prospect of advancement in this growing speciality.
Main duties of the job
We require excellent communication and interpersonal skills. You will ideally have a genuine interest in endoscopy and the ability to understand and operate technical equipment.
Endoscopy experience is desirable but not essential as there is a comprehensive in-house training programme available where you will work with senior members of the team.
We currently have three endoscopy rooms; we undertake approx. 10,000 procedures a year which include upper and lower GI Endoscopy, ERCP’s and Bronchoscopy.
We have JAG accreditation and take part in the national bowel cancer screening programme. You will work with the endoscopy team to provide safe, effective and high-quality patient care maintaining standards that meet the requirements of JAG, the GRS and the CQC.

All successful applicants will be required to complete our corporate trust induction once a start date had been agreed.
Following your corporate induction you will be expected to attend the Trust’s 2-week Induction Programme for RNs, NAs, RMs, ODPs and Paramedics. The programme is full-time (please email if this is problematic) and will involve travel to both Trust sites. The programme includes supernumerary shifts in the clinical area, classroom-based sessions and e-learning.
