Personal Care Assistants for twins P/T @ £13.09/hr in Blyth - FTE - £25.5k - Blyth - NE24
We are looking to recruit a team of Support Workers for 10-year-old twins (male and female) who have a diagnosis of Autism, ADHD, and severe learning disabilities. The hours are detailed below and applicants can apply to work in term time weeks only, school holiday weeks only, or a combination. The children always go out together with their respective Support Workers.
MAIN DUTIES
We are looking to recruit four support workers for a twin brother and sister to take the children out together within the local community, so that they can enjoy leisure activities. Time may also be used at the family home, for example during poor weather, to read stories together, watch favourite cartoons and movies, support with play on their tablets, engage in drawing, arts, and crafts. Help to motivate and encourage the children to develop their independent learning skills and to build relationships with other children when out and about in the local community. Support is also required with personal care.
The children have limited verbal communication and therefore experience of Makaton is desirable but not essential. Car driver required and must have business use insurance.
Hours
The children have 5 hours each per week (10 hours in total) and the support is required on Saturdays, with the children going out together with their respective support workers. During the school holidays in February, May, October, and Christmas, the hours would be required on weekdays rather than at weekends. Hours in Easter and Summer school holiday weeks are already covered.
