Are you an experienced Buyer with a knack for procurement and a passion for ensuring smooth operations? We're looking for a dedicated individual to join our Sourcing team in Motherwell, taking charge of the timely acquisition of materials and managing effective communication across departments.
Key Responsibilities:
Material Supply Management: Ensure continuous, on-time delivery of materials to meet production needs.
Purchase Order Coordination: Manage all requisitions, open orders, and rescheduling in line with the Planning Team.
Issue Resolution : Oversee invoice and goods-inward discrepancies, ensuring swift resolution.
Supplier Performance Management: Work closely with suppliers to ensure they meet or exceed expectations, addressing any issues related to on-time delivery.
Collaboration & Communication: Serve as the tactical point of contact for day-to-day issues and represent the team in Tier-level meetings.
Process Engineering Changes: Collaborate with the Planning Team to implement any required changes, from product phase-ins to phase-outs.
Key Metrics:
Supplier & Customer On-Time Delivery (OTTR)
Inventory Levels and Line Stops
Invoice & Goods-Inward Holds
PO Response & Rescheduling Time
Supplier Compliance with Payment Terms & Contracts
What We're Looking For:
Experience with SAP or similar ERP systems.
Proficient in Microsoft Excel and data analysis.
Strong communication skills and a team player mindset.
Organized, with the ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines.
A self-motivated individual, comfortable working independently.
Requirements:
Fluency in written and verbal English.
Previous experience in a similar role.
