Our Little Journey (Nursery) in Handsworth, Birmingham is seeking a Nursery Deputy Manager to work Full time - Part time. Please only apply if you have a Minimum Level 3 Qualification in a UK recognised Early Years Qualification, Paediatric First Aid certificate, Enhanced D.B.S certificate, and have Nursery Management experience having worked as a Nursery Manager or Deputy Manager before.
Job Types: Permanent, Full-time - Part time Monday to Friday
Working hours: 15 - 30 hours working week
Reports Into: Manager - Director
THE ROLE
1. Develop and maintain strong relationships with nursery practitioners, parents and suppliers.
2. Provide a safe and stimulating environment for both staff and children to promote learning.
3. To develop the professional knowledge, skills, and attitudes of staff members and provide continuous professional development opportunities.
4. Sees potential in every aspect of the nursery - a solution focused attitude.
THE SUCCESSFUL CANDIDATE
1. Will hold Early Years level 3 relevant qualification (or above)
2. Excellent knowledge of The Early Years Foundation Stage 2024 and other compulsory statutory guidance.
3. Robust safeguarding and child protection knowledge (including wider safeguarding).
4. Confident knowledge of the inspection process and/or experience leading a team to a ‘Good’ or ‘Outstanding’ outcome.
5. Will be a highly effective communicator.
6. Will have significant experience of nursery settings, with a strong track record delivering results.
7. Will be an exceptional leader who understands and will enjoy a nursery environment.
8. Will be highly resilient and comfortable in a leadership role.
9. Will have a track record of creating a high performing, positive team culture and environment.
10. Will have strong personal values and integrity and understand and embrace the vision the Directors inspire to achieve within the setting and community.
