We have a number of exciting growth opportunities ranging from experienced graduates to RICS Valuer qualified professionals to join our valuation team based in Bristol. The post holder will contribute to growing both the commercial and residential valuation business, building client relations and working with the existing team to continue to develop the team.
Within valuations, we cover a national remit of properties including residential, development, viability assessments, commercial and mixed-use developments, industrial warehouses, offices, and retail.

Main tasks
* Work within the existing valuation team in Bristol, providing valuations for loan security (vacant possession and investment), internal decision-making purposes, tax and financial reporting purposes.
* Carry out inspections, calculating floor and site areas, comparable research, demographic and economic research, planning and statutory enquiries, company trading analysis, lease reading and summarising, development / option agreement reading and reviewing, preparation of valuations / development appraisals
* Contribution to the growth of the business by identifying new business opportunities across the valuation sector.
* Assist in the delivery of major projects.
* Financial and client reporting.
* Delivery of valuation reports in accordance with client instructions and RICS Valuation Standards.
* Participation in the ongoing development and implementation of an effective profit centre business plan developed in-line with the Carter Jonas vision.
What does it take to be successful?
You will ideally be a qualified chartered surveyor and registered valuer (or working towards this qualification) with excellent attention to detail. You will have the ability to manage key clients across the region and will ideally have a strong understanding of the local market. The ability to identify new opportunities to grow the business further would be welcomed. Travel will be required in this role and a driving licence is essential. We are looking at surveyor/senior surveyor level for this role.
