The Prima Name has become synonymous with the installation of high quality facade products within the construction industry. Due to internal restructuring, we have a fantastic opportunity for a Procurement Administrator to join an enthusiastic, forward-thinking team.
The office-based role encompasses a broad spectrum of the business and is key to the smooth and efficient running of the contracts department based in Dover, Kent.
The role can be demanding during busy periods and will require excellent time management skills to ensure targets are met. The role is split between procurement and dispatch, with assistance on the latter element coming from the external logistics teams.
This role would suit someone who likes variety within a role, is very well organised, has a methodical approach to systems and procedures, with a keen eye for detail and keeping projects on track.
Responsibilities Include (but not limited to):
* Placing orders and negotiating prices with suppliers
* Chasing outstanding orders
* Stock checking
* Supplier returns management
* Site returns management
* Amending delivery dates to reflect works programme
* Checking all delivered orders
* Upkeep of ordering and dispatch software
* Liaising with suppliers over performance issues
* Filing and general admin tasks
* Checking and dispatching delivered items (assistance from yardman)
* Monitoring of internal and external plant
Key Skill Requirements:
* Have a good level of both literacy and numeracy skills
* Excellent IT skills - full training will be given on our software
* A good team player
* Be administratively minded - organised with good time management
* Demonstrate initiative and the ability to prioritise their workload to meet deadlines
