Hywel Dda Radiology is looking to recruit a dynamic, motivated Consultant Radiologist with a special interest in MSK to join a progressive team of consultants and contribute to the on-going development of radiological services across our Health Board.

Main duties of the job
This appointment is Health Board wide, and the successful candidate would join the radiology team to provide MSK CT, MRI, ultrasound and interventional services to support the Health Board. The candidate will contribute to the wider workload of the department subject to job plan discussions, including general radiology, second on call rotas, teaching of radiology trainees, reporting Radiographers, undergraduate students, and other hospital staff. Flexible working arrangements will be considered and discussions as to individual requirements and how they could be accommodated are welcomed.

Qualifications
Essential
1. Full GMC Registration and Licence to Practice
2. On Specialist Register with GMC or CCT due within 6 months of interview date
3. Or CESR or equivalent European Qualifications for Specialist Registration
4. FRCR or equivalent qualification
Desirable
1. Relevant Higher Degree e.g. MD PhD MSc MRCP
Clinical Experience
Essential
1. Broad based experience in General Radiology
2. Knowledge of UK hospital systems (or equivalent)
3. Knowledge and participation in CPD Competence and expertise in General Radiology
4. Demonstrative knowledge and experience in musculoskeletal radiology imaging, reporting and participation in relevant MDT meetings
5. Ability to undertake CT, ultrasound, and fluoroscopy investigations relevant to general radiology
6. Ability to undertake specialist CT, ultrasound, and fluoroscopy investigations and interventions relevant to musculoskeletal sub-specialism
7. Able to apply knowledge Safe and effective written and verbal communication skills Knowledge and experience of communicating bad news Meet the requirement of the GMC's Good Medical Practice
Desirable
1. Experience of NHS Wider experience, research and training in providing sub specialty service
