Are you compassionate, patient, and passionate about making a difference in the lives of people living with dementia? We are looking for two Dementia Activity/Support Workers to join our team and help provide a safe, enjoyable, and meaningful experience for our Wednesday group participants.
Location: Insch
Hours: 7 hours per week (1 day – provisionally Wednesday, TBC)
Rate of Pay: £13.50 per hour
Contract: 12-month initial contract (continuation subject to funding)
Start Date: March 2025
Key Responsibilities:
Assess and welcome potential participants.
Provide a safe, friendly, and engaging environment.
Plan and deliver interactive activities tailored to the needs and interests of people with dementia.
Work collaboratively with a small team, families, carers, and volunteers.
Ensure dignity, privacy, and wellbeing are upheld at all times.
Assist with risk assessments and adhere to Health & Safety standards.
Support with meals and refreshments.
Maintain accurate records and contribute to reports as required.

Are flexible and resourceful in their approach.
Have a strong understanding of safeguarding and confidentiality.
Preferred Experience:
Previous experience working with people with dementia (either professionally or personally).
Experience in community groups or activity-based roles.
Running group or individual activity sessions.
