Main duties of the job
What you'll be responsible for:
* Undertake nursing assessment and evaluation to enable development of appropriate plans of care based on the needs of the individual.
* Be proficient in the delivery of care to patients.
* Ensure safe administration of drugs in accordance with NMC and CHS policies.
* Ensure accurate records are kept in accordance with CHS policy and NMC guidelines.
* Carry out nursing procedures and techniques in accordance with agreed policies and standards.
* Undertake regular mandatory training.
* The role will involve, but not be limited to you performing the above.

* Must be able to be proficient in Major ortho scrub.
* This includes Atune, PFC and Striker knees.
* Cemented and uncemented hip replacements including Stryker and Hybrid procedures.
* Able to scrub for Hip revisions and PPF surgery.
* Upper limb surgery such as Lima and Stryker shoulders, & latitude elbows.
* Soft tissue surgery of the knee such as ACL, MPFL, BTB and soft tissue shoulder.
What you'll need:
* Have a minimum of 6 months experience as a Registered Nurse in Theatres.
* Registered with NMC.
*Depending on the Trust, you may require variable additional certification and skills.

Qualifications
* Statement of NMC Registration.
* Degree / Diploma in Nursing.
Experience
* Have a minimum of 6 months experience as a Theatre Practitioner within the last 3 years.
