Job Title: Capacity Analyst
Salary: £28K
Location: Hybrid role, three days working from home and two days in Luton office
Advanced Excel (VLOOKUP and Pivot Tables) is a MUST for this role
University graduates will also be considered and are welcome to apply that have completed a degree in analytics, maths or physics and has advanced Excel knowledge.
The primary function of the role is to support the capacity planning activity in the team, through an analytically driven process to ensure that our client plans the supply of the right vehicle in the right location at the right time to meet planned customer demand and support the optimisation of revenue and asset utilisation, while minimising cost.
The role is responsible for maximising revenue and utilisation by actively forecasting, planning, and delivering the fleet required to service demand.
The role requires excellent commercial awareness and strong analysis-based decision making capability.
The successful candidate will ideally have had prior planning and analytical experience, be an excellent communicator and be confident in making and accepting responsibility for decisions that impact the wider business.
A key analytical role within the organisation, with significant responsibility for delivering the right level of capacity for our customers and extensive scope to influence the development of Capacity Management.
Responsibilities:
* Forecast and plan future availability and capacity requirements.
* Ensure forecasting is accurate and strict deadlines are met.
* Understand demand and supply of car rental vehicles, e.g., advance reservations, fleet supplies and historic performance.
* Propose, implement, and assess actions to maximise revenue, combining knowledge of current business performance, market position and demand, resource availability and business channel mix.
* Respond with clarity and direction when resolving complex tactical and strategic situations as they arise.
* Contribute directly to the alignment of activities across different departments (Fleet, Operations, Corporate Sales) and to continually apply revenue management practices to improve business profitability.
* Ensure availability is in line with forecasted volume, RPD and revenue.
