As a Therapeutic Residential Support Worker, you will play a vital role in assisting individuals with diverse needs, ensuring they receive the care and support necessary for their well-being and development. The key function of this role is to work directly with children and young people. It requires a child-centred approach and the ability to build warm, positive, and strong relationships with our children. This position requires a dedicated individual who is committed to making a positive impact in the lives of others.
Responsibilities
1. Encourage and stimulate emotional and social growth through out-of-school activities and community engagement.
2. Contribute to the formation and implementation of care plans for young people.
3. Work in partnership with families, carers, social workers, and other agencies.
4. Participate in the admission process, case conferences, and reviews, producing reports on individual development/progress.
5. Facilitate the development of life and social skills, independence, and self-management.
6. Provide a warm, accepting environment that meets the diverse needs of individuals.
7. Promote equal opportunities and challenge discriminatory practices within the Home.
8. Attend courses and study days to develop awareness and skills.
9. Work on a shift basis to ensure 24-hour care, including sleeping in duties as required.
