Job Description
Early Years setting in Wolverhampton needs a TA to support their children with SEND in their resource base.
Your new company
I am working exclusively with a highly respected Early Years school in the Bushbury area of Wolverhampton. The school is very much within the heart of their local community, with close links to local primary schools, their local church, nursing homes and local amenities. With a well-resourced outdoor space, this school offers a wonderful opportunity for learning through play, with the ability to provide a stimulating environment. The school offers education for children under 5, including 15 and 30-hour places, a Terrific for Two's provision and a resource base for children with additional needs. The school offers a holistic STEAM curriculum, keen to nurture future Scientists, Technicians, Engineers, Artists and Mathematicians.
Your new role
Working within the school's resource base, you will support their children with a variety of additional needs. This is an enhanced provision where you will support children with Special Educational Needs, including those with physical and medical needs. This role is crucial in providing early intervention and support, helping children with SEND to achieve their full potential and make a successful transition to their primary education. You will support development and learning, provide individualized support tailored to meet the needs of each child you're working with, and work as part of a close-knit team to create an inclusive environment.
What you'll need to succeed
You will ideally hold a Level 3 Early Years Educator qualification, or equivalent. The Head Teacher of this setting is, however, open to considering Early Years professionals who hold either Level 2 childcare qualifications or who are not qualified but have a wealth of experience in supporting children with SEND. You will need to demonstrate strong and effective communication skills on a daily basis, not only with the children but their guardians and other members of staff within the resource base and wider nursery school.
What you'll get in return
You will be welcomed into a warm, caring and nurturing nursery school, and will work with experienced Early Years professionals with a wealth of experience that they are willing to share to develop one another. You will have access to regular training opportunities to ensure that you are up-to-date with the best Early Years practice, as well as the support of an experienced consultant who is available to support you, 7 days a week. This is a long-term role, potentially until the end of the 2024-25 academic year, giving you ongoing job security.
