The ACPs are pivotal in the triage, assessment, ordering and interpretation of appropriate tests and investigations, and treatment, including non-medical prescribing, of acutely unwell Respiratory patients. The Respiratory ACP is a key leadership role within the Respiratory medicine team, working alongside both medical and ward-based teams. The role is exciting and varied including working as a part of the respiratory medicine team assessing and treating patients on the wards, in pleural clinics and outpatient clinics with a view to reducing length of stay, admission avoidance and promoting safe discharge through ACP led clinics.
