Job summary This is a short term post from 16 April - 5 August 2025 for 4 days per week The aims of the post are primarily to assist and teach 4th year medical students from University of Nottingham during their Advance Practice 1 (AP1) Health Care of Later Life (HCOLL) attachment. The post is ideal for a Band 7 qualified nurse OR for a doctor with MRCP, with a special interest in Health Care of Later Life who is either between core medical and higher training and wants a break, or at FY3 stage having satisfactorily completed their F2 training in the UK. It is primarily envisaged that this Clinical Teaching Fellow would provide Health Care of Later Life teaching to undergraduate medical students on the QMC & City campus. Main duties of the job KEY JOB RESPONSIBILITIES To deliver ward based teaching and support to the AP1 HCOLL students Contribute to the AP1 HCOLL Case Based and Clinical Reasoning Teaching Session. To contribute to the ward base assessments of DOPS and mini-CEX for the AP1 HCOLL students To support the running of AP1 HCOLL simulated or patient workshops. To teach clinical skills within the AP1 HCOLL course. To support teaching in other areas of the curriculum as required. This will include Year 1 and Year 2 Early Clinical Hospital Visits and patient workshops. Contribute to Induction of AP1 HCOLL students to the wards and also to the Foundation for Practice Induction. To provide teaching on the Early Clinical Experience Course (14 x Year 1/2 hospital visits). Contribute to AP2 Medicine teaching as required.
