We have an exciting opportunity for a SEN Teaching Assistant to join our dedicated team at a welcoming school in Lincoln About the Role: As a SEN Teaching Assistant, you will play a vital role in supporting students with SEN, helping them overcome barriers to learning and achieve their full potential. You will work closely with teachers and other support staff to create a nurturing and inclusive learning environment. Key Responsibilities: Assist in the development and implementation of individualised education plans for students with SEN to tailor educational activities and resources to meet the specific needs of each student. Provide one-on-one and small group support to students with SEN to help students understand and complete their work, providing additional explanations and assistance as needed. Monitor and assess student progress, providing feedback to teachers and adjusting support strategies as necessary. Collaborate with teachers, support staff, and parents to ensure a cohesive approach to student development. Create a positive and inclusive classroom environment to foster a welcoming and supportive atmosphere where all students feel valued and included. Use a variety of teaching methods to engage and motivate students to cater to the diverse learning styles and needs of students. Maintain accurate records of student progress and report to teachers, parents, and other relevant parties. Requirements: Prior experience in a similar role is essential, demonstrating the understanding of the unique challenges and needs of students with SEN. Strong communication and interpersonal skills to effectively communicate with students, parents, and colleagues, building positive and supportive relationships. Demonstrate the ability to establish trust and rapport with all members of the school community. Show a deep commitment to helping students with SEN by exhibiting patience and empathy in your interactions. Relevant qualifications or training in SEN education (desirable but not essential).
