Business Intelligence Developer -Mon to Fri in HQ (Thame) Our Client is an award-winning company based in Thame, Oxfordshire. A leader in its field, our client is looking for a Business Intelligence Developer (BI) who will be working on designing various analytical reports on company data and delivering them to senior management and other interested parties in - ideally - both Crystal reports and Microsoft Power BI (experience of at least one essential).A good understanding of writing and updating optimised T-SQL will be required as well as relational database design knowledge. As a Business Intelligence Developer (BI),you will be working with both management and business users, collecting their requests, and then creating new or updating existing BI reports to accommodate business needs. The Business Intelligence Developer (BI)will be expected to establish company standards and common reporting terminology to help align existing and future reporting requests to such standards. As part of this role, you will also be interacting with the companys third party MIS software to ensure data is clean and business and system processes are fit for business needs. You will also be responsible for any day-to-day MIS software queries and issues liaising with the third party software provider to resolve these. Required Skills: Minimum of 3 years experience in a BI development role requiring Crystal Report development knowledge and / or Microsoft Power BI development knowledge. Understanding of database operations and optimisation for Microsoft SQL Server. Understanding data and query optimisation, stored procedures and functions. Creating & maintaining business requirements & other technical documentation for reporting, data analysis & the companys third party MIS processes. Troubleshooting, communication and analytical skills Educated to degree level in Maths, Software Development, Software Engineering, Computer Science or similar.
