Requirements:
- We require candidates who have a proven track record in delivering solution architecture within large-scale, complex environments. Familiarity with the processes and artifacts associated with Enterprise Architecture frameworks, such as TOGAF, is essential. Candidates should have a background in cyber security, ideally with experience in operational, delivery, or forensics roles. You'll need to demonstrate your ability to contribute to or produce business cases, gain approval from stakeholders, and ensure the realization of business benefits. It’s important for you to be a subject matter expert in your technology field. We seek individuals who are self-motivated, organized, proactive, and flexible in their approach to work. You should be comfortable both challenging and adhering to strict deadlines. The ability to visualize, articulate, and solve complex problems is crucial, as well as possessing excellent communication and presentation skills tailored to different audiences. Additionally, you should be able to interpret stakeholders' needs alongside business and technical issues. A curious mind with a thirst for knowledge and a willingness to learn is highly valued. Lastly, formal security qualifications such as CISSP or CISM, or equivalent experience of at least 5 years in a security role, are required.
Responsibilities:
- In this role, you will lead and/or be accountable for defining security solution architectures across the business, showcasing a demonstrable level of expertise and capability in solution definition, including governance, compliance, standards, risk, design patterns, collaboration, metric implementation, and guardrail management. You will work collaboratively with Enterprise Architects to contribute solution-specific expertise to decision-making processes. Supporting strategic architecture projects will be a key responsibility, ensuring that security solution architecture input is incorporated in a way that aligns solutions with business outcomes and value. You will focus on overarching usability and ensure all solutions contribute tangible value to dependent services while integrating smoothly with others. Your duties will include creating reusable, repeatable, and transferable solution patterns and briefing documents, collaborating with both business and technical teams to oversee the implementation of designs. You will also develop and own roadmaps for security technologies and processes that align with relevant strategies, policies, standards, and practices. Assisting enterprise architects during vendor selection to ensure that chosen vendors meet business requirements and optimize value for money will be part of your remit. Research contributions, including proof of concept and proof of value initiatives, will also fall under your responsibilities. Understanding the implications of transformation through collaboration with business technology stakeholders will be crucial in this role.

This position is for a Solution/Security Architect role that is available for 4 months in Glasgow with a hybrid work arrangement. We offer a competitive rate of £650 per day, inside IR35. The initial focus of this role will be on defining solution architecture, including process, information, and component architectures, with an emphasis on delivering strategic cyber control solutions within the security governance, risk, and compliance sub-domain. You will engage with projects that include vulnerability issue management, workplace design assurance replacement, third-party risk management, Ariba/ServiceNow spoke integration, and DevSecOps compliance tooling integration, among others.
