Background
This is an exciting time to be an engineer at the University of Birmingham. Following the creation of the School of Engineering in 2016, we are investing significantly in people and infrastructure. We are seeking to appoint a motivated and highly research active engineer in Applied Electromagnetics and Antennas to join us and help us create the future. The posts will be associated with the Communications and Electromagnetics Research Group, part of the Department of Electronic, Electrical and Systems Engineering.
Role Summary
The role holder will be based in Edgbaston. The key duties and responsibilities will include:
1. Giving lectures and seminars and supervising undergraduate/post-graduate students.
2. Course development and innovation.
3. Participating in examinations.
4. Conducting innovative research and writing papers on relevant topics.
5. Obtaining research grant funding.
The successful applicant will have a PhD in a relevant specialist subject area, as well as postdoctoral experience. We are looking for candidates with a track record in teaching at a higher education institution.
