Title: Civil Engineer We have multiple opportunities for Civil Engineer s to support a large infrastructure programme based in the West of Scotland. This is a key role working as part of a multi- disciplinary engineering team supporting nuclear facilities and the delivery of services across Client sites. Some Key Outputs - Authoring, development, assessment, maintenance and management of the suite of Nuclear Infrastructure Design Substantiation documents. - Production and development of Examination, Inspection, Maintenance & Testing (EIMT) Schedule, operating procedures and results to satisfy design requirements. - Production of Independent Technical Review (ITA)/Independent Peer Review (IPR). - Apply appropriate theoretical and practical methods to design, develop, manufacture, construct, commission, operate, maintain, decommission and re-cycle engineering processes, systems, services and products in a nuclear/high - risk environment. - Producing robust technical justification to allow for relevant civil/structural design modifications to be authorised within a high hazard industry. What We Need We'd like to see demonstrable experience of engagement with multi-million-pound infrastructure construction, refurbishment and replacement Programmes of work, within a complex regulated environment (preferably Nuclear). You will have experience in the design assessment of reinforced concrete and steelwork structures to withstand dynamic loads including earthquake motions, blast, wind, rain and snow loading. Ideally, you will be familiar with safety case development techniques e.g. HAZID/HAZOP studies. Location The office is in Glasgow City Centre but h aving your own transport is essential as you will be required to travel regularly to the site in Helensburgh.
