JMC Aviation are working with an MRO company based in Newquay, looking to recruit a new Check Management Support Engineer to join their team. This client is a leading MRO dealing with line and base maintenance as well as interior modifications and fuel systems repair and maintenance for both commercial and military aircraft. Salary and Benefits Competitive salary and allowances 25 days annual leave entitlement bank holidays 4x Life assurance Employer pension contribution Sick pay Service awards from 2 years The Role The primary purpose of this role is to form part of the Check Management Team and work alongside the Check Manager, Commercial and the Materials Co-ordinator to ensure an effective delivery of the aircraft back to the customer within agreed timelines. Other Duties Involve Liaising and agreeing with the customer for all tasks, ensuring that they are signed off by the on-site rep prior to the work commencing and/or prior to any potential over-run Ensuring that any queries with O&A's are discussed and highlighted and agreed with Commercial Monitoring hours from booking report to spot any potential overruns on O&A's or any booking errors which may affect O&A's Creating, maintaining and sending task card over-runs and O&A sheets for Commercial and Base Management review at any time during any particular input Monitoring the overall check budget at task card level, highlighting overrunning to Managers and Lead Mechanics by Zonal Technicians on a regular basis Advising the Check Manager of staff on non productive bookings Assisting the Check Manager in delivering aircraft maintenance input in line with the agreed plan Updating accurately the daily status and customer status report on behalf of the Check Manager in readiness for issue including the report figures Creating a daily report to send to the customer, showing open/closed cards at task level Sending daily customer status report to customer at an agreed time Coordinating contracted and sub-contracted activities to maintain project timelines Liaising with all third-party working parties to ensure PO's, purchase requests and work is carried out as a point of contact for third parties on site Raising any additional cards added to the work pack Participating in the daily progress meeting with the CM and customer Liaising with the Check Team to ensure problems are dealt with to minimise disruption In order to be successful in this role the Check Management Support Engineer will need to demonstrate the following skills and attributes Suitable experience in aviation related field or the demonstrated ability to perform the duties and responsibilities of the position Indentured apprenticeship or equivalent in an aviation engineering or similar mechanical engineering field Strong organisational and interpersonal skills Commercial awareness a necessity Knowledge of MS Office applications, especially Excel Full UK Driving licence Right to live and work in the UK If you think this is the role for you and you have the necessary skills and attributes, please apply today or contact JMC Aviation for more details.
