Temporary Works Coordinator

Responsibilities:
1. Reporting to Construction Manager, responsible for the Coordination of Temporary Works on EPCM or EPC projects.
2. Implement Bilfinger Temporary Works procedures on site and check that other contractors are implementing their procedures.
3. Overall responsibility for the coordination of Temporary Works, acting as the single point of contact on-site.
4. Ensure that any Temporary Works Supervisors (TWS) are operating in accordance with approved procedures.
5. Prepare a design brief ensuring adequate consultation is undertaken and is in accordance with the actual situation on site.
6. Hold details of any residual risks identified at the design stage and ensure they are included in the design brief.
7. Ensure a satisfactory design is carried out and that all Temporary Works are suitably categorized.
8. Attend regular Temporary Works design review meetings to monitor progress on designs.
9. Coordinate all activities related to Temporary Works and ensure responsibilities are allocated in accordance with BS 5975.
10. Maintain the Temporary Works Register with any design changes.
11. Act as the first point of contact between the designer and site team, ensuring the Temporary Works design is implemented according to approved drawings.
12. Issue formal permission to load/bring Temporary Works/falsework into use.
13. Ensure all those responsible for on-site supervision receive full details of the design, including limitations and guidance notes.
14. Ensure the design is available to others, e.g., the Principal Designer.
15. Create and manage an inspection and maintenance programme for Temporary Works.
16. Check any proposed changes in materials or construction against the original design.
17. Responsible for Permits/hold points and ensure no unauthorized alterations are made to the works.
18. Issue formal permission to unload/take out-of-use Temporary Works/falsework.
19. Retain all relevant information for the Health and Safety File.
20. Check if Temporary Works design is suitable for future use when transferred to another project.
Your Profile:
* More than 3 years of experience as a Temporary Works Coordinator, preferably on EPC projects in the Oil & Gas sector.
* Relevant up-to-date technical and H&S training, with qualifications appropriate to the complexity of the project.
* Good knowledge of Temporary Works design, familiarity with BS 5975, and industry good practices.
* Able to advise on risks not obvious to a competent contractor.
* Extensive civil and electrical experience, well-versed in Temporary Works management and execution.
* Experience with early works and interaction with design, engineering, and constructability.
* Good knowledge of Civil and Structural engineering and design, with a sound understanding of other disciplines (Automation, Mechanical, Piping, EC&I, and Process).
* MEng/BEng/HNC/HND in Civil and Structural Engineering.
* Experienced with the production of civil and structural specifications, scopes of work, calculations, drawings, and schedules.
