The company was established in 2006, based in the Waterloo/Southwark area with circa 200 employees working for us in London, and an additional 450 employees working globally as part of the group.
GIMO specialises in all aspects of online marketing, website and online games creation in the iGaming, Sports Betting, Poker, and Casino industries. Gimo works in close partnership with leading global gaming brands such as NetBet, 777, and betFIRST.

The Role:
* Drive impactful design solutions: Own the end-to-end design process for key product areas, from defining the user challenge to delivering intuitive, polished interfaces.
* Be data-driven: Use analytics and KPIs to test hypotheses, measure performance, and refine designs. Collaborate with product insights teams to translate data into actionable solutions.
* Conduct and apply user research: Lead research initiatives to uncover user needs, synthesize findings, and ensure business decisions are informed by empathy and customer insights.
* Solve real problems: Before designing, immerse yourself in the core user problem, business objectives, and technical constraints to create well-informed solutions.
* Prototype and test early: Build low-fidelity prototypes to validate ideas quickly and iterate based on feedback.
* Deliver high-fidelity designs: Create detailed UI/UX specifications that clearly communicate requirements to stakeholders and engineering teams
* Collaborate across disciplines: Work closely with cross-functional teams, including engineering, product management, marketing, and insights, to identify opportunities, test ideas, and launch features.
* Contribute to strategic decisions: Participate in shaping the product roadmap, bringing a design perspective to high-level discussions.
* Build scalable design systems: Partner with engineers to develop and maintain reusable components and ensure consistency across the product.
* Mentor and inspire: Support and guide junior and mid-level designers, fostering a culture of growth and collaboration.
Duties and Responsibilities:
* Proven experience: Minimum 5+ years in product design with a portfolio showcasing end-to-end product work, including complex user flows, edge cases, and scenarios.
* User-first mindset: Strong ability to empathize with users and create solutions that meet their needs while balancing business objectives.
* Analytical approach: Comfortable using tools like Google Analytics, Mixpanel, or similar to validate hypotheses and refine designs.
* Expert in design principles: Solid understanding of usability, accessibility, and UX best practices, with a keen eye for detail in UI design.
* Strong communication skills: Able to articulate design decisions clearly and adapt communication to different audiences, including engineers, stakeholders, and customers.
* Strategic thinking: Experience contributing to product strategy and aligning design decisions with broader business goals.
* Hands-on design systems experience: Skilled in creating and managing design systems, collaborating with developers to ensure seamless integration.
* Technical proficiency: Proficient in tools such as Figma, Sketch, or Adobe XD, and familiar with workflows like Agile and design handoff processes.
* Collaborative spirit: Enthusiastic about participating in design critiques, cross-functional discussions, and brainstorming sessions.
