Clinical Administrator – Cardiology | KIMS Hospital, Maidstone

We are looking for a highly organised individual to provide a comprehensive administration service as Cardiology Coordinator to the Cardiology Centre at KIMS Hospital.
You will be responsible for the management and day-to-day organisation of patients, liaising with Insurance Providers, Consultants, Consultant Secretaries and GPs.
This role is ideal for a strong and empathic individual who is patient focused with excellent IT skills.
This role is 30 hours per week, working across 4 days. Shifts will be Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, and Friday 9am – 5pm.
Main duties of the job
As a Cardiology Coordinator you will:
* Welcome all patients and visitors to the Cardiology Centre
* Ensure all enquiries are answered or directed to the relevant stakeholders in a timely manner
* Make inpatient and outpatient appointments for patients, making use of all available clinics.
* Advise patients clearly on the preparations needed for their appointments, sending them in writing or by email.
* Work closely with other hospital teams to ensure an efficient, effective and responsive Cardiology Service.

Qualifications
* GCSE grade A to C in English and Maths
Experience
* Previous experience within a similar administrative role.
* An understanding of healthcare and clinical governance
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
* Excellent organisational and time management skills
* Experience working as a Medical Secretary
* Experience working in Private Healthcare
