We are seeking a suitably qualified individual with operational experience in a catering facility, where high standards of food quality, service, and attention to detail are paramount. The ideal candidate will adhere to pre-planned menus to ensure compliance with legislative client requirements and customer needs, support the Cook/Catering Manager in managing a team, and be responsible for human resources including training and development, managing attendance, and completing payroll returns. They will also need to provide a customer-focused service that is courteous, responsive, and always meets the client's needs.
Main purpose of the job: To be responsible for the safe, effective, and efficient operation of all aspects of the catering service, including supervision of the team, cash reconciliation, and completion of all financial returns. The post holder will report to the School Catering Manager and the Head of Catering and work closely with catering team members and lunchtime organisers.

CHS South is an 11-16 eight-form entry, mixed, comprehensive school opened in conjunction with Chorlton High School in 2018. This is a Grade 3, permanent post working 32.5 hours per week, term time only plus 5 INSET days. The pro-rata salary is £19,491 and the full-time equivalent is £24,404. All school staff are expected to share the Trust's commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people.
