Job summary Are you an experienced Treatment Planner/Dosimetrist looking for a new challenge? We are looking for an enthusiastic and motivated individual for a permanent position within the Treatment Planning group at our Canterbury site. Kent Oncology Centre currently has nine Varian linear accelerators across the two sites each with dedicated CT-Simulators. We have Eclipse for treatment planning with RapidArc VMAT, IGRT, vDIBH and SABR Lung in routine use. This is an exciting time to join our team as we embark on a programme of SABR expansion, including motion management and further expand the use of Eclipse as our principle Treatment Planning System. We are about to install a second Philips BigBore RT CT in the Centre and have two Halcyon units in operation. Depending on skills and experience we would consider appointing at a lower band and would provide development milestones. We also consider flexible working with the expectation of supporting the working hours of service. Main duties of the job As a Treatment Planning Radiographer/Dosimetrist you will participate in all aspects of the Treatment Planning section: production of complex treatment plans including VMAT planning, organs-at-risk outlining and Mould Room assistance. You will also participate in CT simulation, including cannulation and contrast. Depending on your own particular skills and interests and the future requirements of the service we will actively encourage and support you to develop your role through postgraduate training and role extension.
