A bit about the Programme: Aviva is offering a paid six-month returner programme starting on Tuesday 13 th May 2025, with the opportunity of a permanent role at the end. Our Project Manager roles will be offered at Avivas Bristol, Norwich or York offices. Aviva flexes hours and working patterns to suit its customers, business, and you. The likelihood is youll balance time in the office (minimum 50%) with working from home each week. We call this Smart Working, combining the benefits of flexibility with time together with colleagues. Therefore, youll need to be willing to relocate if you dont currently live within reasonable commuting distance of the relevant office for the role you are applying for. That way youll get to spend time with your team in person, as well as virtually, and get access to the right internal support networks to help you to succeed. Your journey on the programme starts with easing you in on your first day getting your IT Kit and meeting your Leader and Buddy. This is followed by a Programme Induction where youll meet the Programme Leads and the other returners joining. During this time, youll find out more about Aviva, the Tech & Change Delivery Returner Programme and youll join your first of four Career Returners Coaching Workshops. Youll then join your team where youll collaborate with lots of forward-thinking people working alongside, sharing ideas with, and learning from the best in the business. Youll get to work (and play) with all the latest tech and be involved in some fascinating initiatives to make life better for our 19.6 million customers or colleagues. Nothing beats the buzz of seeing a project youve worked on save a colleague valuable time or put a smile on a customers face. Throughout the Programme, youll have a great internal and external support to help you to transition successfully back into the workplace, including a Leader, Mentor and Buddy and specialised returner coaching. Youll also enjoy the support of your peers and the Programme Leads on the returner programme and from previous cohorts. A bit about the job: As a Senior Project Manager, you will deliver projects that support Avivas strategy through successfully embedding change to continuously improve our customer experience.? Youll manage the delivery of end-to-end project pla ns; including identif ying and manag ing dependencies; minimis ing delivery and operation al risk, forecast ing and manag ing budgets; and provid ing regular project status updates and reports to senior management. All whilst leading, collaborating, influencing and challenging internal and external stakeholders, teams and third-party suppliers. Skills and experience were looking for: The ability to work at pace with resiliency whilst showing a willingness to try new ways of working in deliver y of outcomes. Strong project management skills through all phases of the project lifecycle from initiation / discovery through to benefits realisation. Confident in leading projects with robust risk and budget management experience. Ability to monitor and report on project progress and ensure adherence to project plans, manage changes to the project scope, plan and project costs using appropriate governance, manage project documentation ensuring proper documentation control. Comfortable working with senior stakeholders with strong and effective influencing skills to challenge and drive change? as well as experience managing third-party suppliers.
